The key focus areas of the design and development were:
  • Minimising the energy requirement of the base building
  • Minimising the water usage throughout the building, for example, through the use of water efficient fixtures and fittings
  • Minimising waste and materials throughout the construction, and recycling more than 80% of construction and demolition waste
  • Improve the indoor environmental quality
  • Encourage public transport, and included best practice end of trip facilities 
  • Landscaping was completed with native plants to minimise water consumption and to provide habitat for native animals
  • A focus on tenant engagement to allow real time information to be displayed in the ground floor lobby to provide information to the occupants about the building's environmental performance
